Ashtanga teacher's bio

Meet Iryna Lymar

I am an IAYT-certified yoga therapist, a decade-long Ashtanga practitioner, and someone who has been through it all: the injuries, the burnout, the rules, the doubts, and the deep desire to make this practice sustainable. I’ve practiced through pregnancy, healed from migraines and chronic fatigue, and began to see that true strength also includes listening to your body.

Here's What You'll Learn in This FREE Series

Bhujapidasana

Discover the four hidden patterns that shape your body over years of Primary Series practice—and why repetition can be both your greatest teacher and your biggest blind spot.

Lotus pose
The Way You Breathe Affects More Than Your Lungs.

Explore the relationship between breath and muscular tension, and discover how subtle shifts can create surprising relief.

Paschimottanasana or Forward Fold
It's Not Just Overuse That Creates Imbalance.

Discover why underused and neglected muscles may be affecting your strength, stability, and overall experience of practice.

From lingering pain to practice that truly supports you

When certain muscles are overworked while others are ignored, imbalance builds quietly beneath the surface. A sustainable and pain-free practice is not a luxury. It is what allows the tradition to support your body as it is right now.

This free video series helps you uncover the root cause of that tension and shows you what to adjust before it builds into strain or injury.

"I practiced Ashtanga Mysore with Iryna in SF from 2019 to 2021. It was my first Mysore experience, and she remains one of the best teachers I’ve had. Iryna is passionate, attentive, and truly invested in her students. In just over a year, I learned more from her than in all my previous years of practice." Yanmin from California

"I’ve invited Iryna to teach Ashtanga workshops in Kyiv three times, including at my own shala. She works skillfully with all levels, offering clear, personalized guidance and a structured approach to progress. Her warmth, humor, and respect create a welcoming atmosphere that keeps students coming back." Tanya from Ukraine
